Ages

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Example: Players born in 2013 or older who reside inside the Prosper ISD bounds are eligible to play.

When

What time of the year does this program run?

Example: Season begins with tryouts in July. Practices start in August, games begin in September and run until playoffs in February. Varsity Gold games are on Wednesday evenings and all other teams play on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Example: Practices and home games are held at StarsCenter McKinney. Games may be played across the metro region.

Example: Teams practice 1 time per week.

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.

Jerseys

What uniforms do we wear?

Example: Club jerseys, blue gloves and a blue helmet are required and are ordered at the beginning of the season by the club. Info will be available at tryouts.

Extra Costs

What costs beyond registration fees & uniforms should be expected?

Example: Expect team managers to collect funds to cover tournament entry fees if you choose to participate in the optional tournaments or if your team qualifies for Nationals or States.

We’re excited to hit the ice this summer with athletes from across all Prosper high schools as we continue building a fun, competitive, and development-focused hockey community. Summer hockey is all about sharpening skills, building chemistry, competing hard, and getting ready for an exciting 2026–27 season.

Please remember that summer team placement does not guarantee a roster spot or specific team placement for the fall season. Competitive tryouts for the 2026–27 Prosper Hockey teams will take place in the fall, and all roster decisions will be based on those evaluations.

Our summer structure is designed to keep as many players as possible on the ice while providing flexibility for the organization and valuable development opportunities for every athlete. Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to see everyone compete, improve, and represent Prosper Hockey this summer!

Reminder:

✅ All players must have a current USA Hockey membership (renewed after April 1)

✅ Graduating seniors are not eligible to participate in the summer season

Fall 2026-2027

Defending the Shield. Building the Future.

Welcome to the Fall 2026-2027 season of Prosper High School Hockey! Proudly representing the rapidly growing communities of Prosper ISD (including Prosper, Rock Hill, Walnut Grove, and Richland High Schools), Prosper Hockey is back on the ice and ready for another powerhouse year in the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League. As a standalone program united under our shield with the iconic downtown Prosper Silos, our mission remains unmatched: to deliver elite, travel-caliber hockey culture within a high school parameter. This season, our student-athletes will hit the ice wearing the signature green, blue, and white with one goal in mind—unrivaled excellence on and off the ice.

What to Expect This Season

Elite Player Development: Led by our dedicated coaching staff, our players will participate in high-tempo, multi-weekly practices designed to enhance systems play, situational awareness, and individual skills.

Comprehensive Team Tiers: From our development-focused JV squads to our highly competitive Varsity teams, Prosper Hockey provides a structured pathway for players of all high school skill levels to compete, lead, and advance.

Championship Culture: Coming off years of highly competitive Varsity play in the AT&T Metroplex league, the 2026-2027 teams are hungry to add more hardware to the Prosper trophy case. Expect intense rivalries, showcase tournaments, and a relentless pursuit of the postseason.

Character & Academic Excellence: Beyond the box scores, Prosper Hockey is a leadership lab. We hold our athletes to the highest standards of accountability, sportsmanship, and academic excellence, ensuring they are prepared for opportunities beyond high school.
