Prosper Hockey Welcomes New Partnership with That Skate Sharpening Guy
Professional skate sharpening. Personalized service. Giving back to Prosper Hockey with every sharpening card purchased.
Prosper Hockey is proud to announce a new partnership with That Skate Sharpening Guy, bringing professional-level skate sharpening, fitting, and consultation services directly to our hockey families while giving back to the club.
Owned and operated by Prosper resident Dale Iannuzzi, That Skate Sharpening Guy provides custom hand-sharpened skate services from his home shop in Light Farms. With more than 15 years of professional-level sharpening experience, Dale has built a reputation for precision, consistency, and helping players find the perfect edge for their game.
Dale's hockey resume includes time working for the New York Islanders, where he developed extensive expertise in skate sharpening, blade profiling, fitting, alignment, and equipment management at the highest levels of the sport. His experience allows him to tailor sharpening cuts specifically to North Texas ice conditions while accounting for each player's age, skill level, position, skating style, and personal preferences.
"Always level. Never dull."
More than just a skate sharpener, Dale is passionate about player development and education. He works closely with athletes to identify the right Radius of Hollow (ROH) or Flat Bottom V (FBV) cut for their game, ensuring they have the confidence and performance they need every time they step onto the ice.
As part of this new partnership, Prosper Hockey families will have access to exclusive skate sharpening punch cards. Four membership levels will be available, and 10% of every punch card purchase will be donated directly back to Prosper Hockey. Families receive professional custom sharpening services while simultaneously supporting the club and helping fund future programs and opportunities for our players.
In addition to providing sharpening services, Dale is eager to become an active part of the Prosper Hockey community. Plans are already being discussed for Dale to attend tryouts, provide skate education for families, and potentially bring his professional sharpening equipment into the Prosper locker room during preseason practices. This would allow players to test different edges, receive expert consultations, and experience professional-level sharpening before and after practices throughout the season.
Dale's son currently plays DSMHL in Frisco, and he is excited to invest his time, knowledge, and passion into helping Prosper Hockey continue to grow.
"Dale brings years of high-level experience, passion, and knowledge to the Prosper Hockey organization, and we are extremely excited to have him join the Prosper family as we continue building for an exciting upcoming season. His leadership and expertise will be a tremendous asset both on and off the ice."
Whether you're looking for a better edge, improved performance, professional skate fitting, or simply want to support Prosper Hockey through your sharpening needs, That Skate Sharpening Guy offers a level of expertise rarely available outside of professional hockey.
Please join us in welcoming Dale Iannuzzi and That Skate Sharpening Guy to the Prosper Hockey family. We look forward to seeing the impact his knowledge and dedication will have on our players and program for years to come.
