Welcome to the home of the Prosper High School Hockey Program

The Prosper High School Hockey Association is a youth hockey program that fields teams in the AT&T Metroplex League in the Dallas area. Athletes either attend or live within the Prosper and Celina ISD’s boundaries playing at both Junior Varsity and Varsity levels. Much like Prosper, and the neighboring areas, we are growing. Five years ago, there was only one JV team fielded, for the 2021-2022 Season, we plan to field four teams, two JV and 2 Varsity level teams.

Last year our top JV program won the City Championship for the second year in a row while completing a perfect season at 22-0. Our goal is to continue improving the quality and reputation of our program and hockey in the Southeast each year.

As a program, we want to help athletes achieve their goals both on and off the ice but with a good balance between hockey, school, and other activities. We are building the program with the "travel experience" in mind because we do not want kids to look at the High School program as a secondary option but rather as a great alternative when appropriate. Our coaching staff always encourages our players to play at the highest level and never want to hold someone back just because our program would be better off. Should a player get an opportunity to play Elite, great, we will always support it. If a player makes AA travel and chooses and elects to play travel only, we will understand. And when a player, usually right around freshman or sophomore year, is looking to decide whether to play travel or high school. We want our program to be the first choice. We give our players the same experience without sacrificing or feeling like they are playing a level down.

All of our coaches have played competitive hockey and know firsthand how much commitment goes into playing the sport. And with that in mind, we want to provide our players the following:

  • Coaching and development equal or better to their travel program. There are many elements that go into coaching & teaching our players other than being labeled a coach.

  • Travel experience - from practices to games and from uniforms to team bonding, we want our players to feel good about our program and proud to play for Prosper.

  • Winning attitude - we want to win, but our ability to develop our players is our priority.

  • Growing our alumni relationship - our goals, once a player graduates and goes on to do wonderful things in the real world, is to have them look back and be proud of the Prosper program and want to be part of our alumni events. We are building our alumni outreach program with the goal of doing yearly alumni games during Christmas Breaks as well as other activities around the program.
